Prof. David Schultz, Hamline Unversity
(11-8-2024)   [Steve Francisco]

Professor David Schultz joins host Steve Francisco to examine the results of the 2024 General Election. How did former President Donald Trump pull off his big victory and prevail in a race that many polls predicted would be much closer?

Why are Democrats losing the votes of working class voters, Latino voters, and younger voters and can they win them back in the future?

What happens now with Trump’s pending legal cases in both federal and state courts? And in the local front, how will a split Minnesota Legislature function in 2025? These are some of the questions addressed in this interview.

Professor Schultz teaches at Hamline University and the University of Minnesota Law School. His articles on politics appear regularly in the New York Times, Washington Post, and other publications. He is the author of “Presidential Swing States” (2022).
