Students Supporting Israel,, founded at the University of Minnesota a dozen years ago by Ilan Sinelnikov, an Israeli attending the University of Minnesota, and is a grassroots student organization. It has now swelled to dozens of college campuses in several countries. Formed to combat anti-semitism and to fight BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) against Israel, it is also controversial in its support of the Israeli government. Ilan discussed with Alan those goals and controversies, and their differing views on the government, the plight of Palestinians, a two-state solution and more. They also discussed Zionism and the recent normalization between the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and the Israeli government.
