Growing up in a large family in Ohio with parents who sparked her interest in becoming active in community affairs, Kriystauhl Fitchett made her way to Minnesota. After earning degrees in political science and public administration, Kriystauhl has worked in numerous positions in the Minnesota Legislature, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, and the Minnesota District Court. In this interview, Steve Francisco asks Kriystauhl about her campaign for a seat on the Burnsville City Council, what can be done to provide more affordable housing, and efforts to make Burnsville a more inclusive community for all of its diverse residents.

Amy Miller, Founder of “Our Family Encounter”, discusses in her interview with host Bill Raker what every family should be aware of when planning for future outcomes for survivors. Amy shares how and why she embarked on her mission of helping family care-givers navigate the hurdles and options in advance of and during transitional events in family life. She explains the importance of having those “difficult conversations” with family members and service providers before such events occur. She suggests ways to initiate those conversations. Amy describes the “forgotten middle” and why she’s so passionate about helping them. A key message throughout the interview is why and how to document your wishes for what the family and care-givers are to do after one’s passing. This is a “must watch” episode and worth sharing with family members.

THEATRE IN THE ROUND is the oldest legitimate theatre in Minneapolis, about to embark on its 71st season. Various personalities from TRP have appeared on our show over the years, and this year LARISA NETTERLUND, Managing Director, and KARI STEINBACH, Director of the season-opening production, the award-winning “Doubt” by John Patrick Shanley, discussed the upcoming 2022-2023 season with Alan. Included in the lineup are an Agatha Christie production, and an ambitious Robin Hood production which will close the season in 2023.

Joe Atkins, Dakota County Commissioner joins Steve Francisco to discuss how Dakota County has held the line on property tax increases during the past two years. Joe also discusses the County’s preservation of mature oaks and wetlands and how the County has won national recognition for its leadership in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting recycling, and protecting the environment.
